Check your treatment to see if you have
- A workable programme idea
- Enough material to cover the story at the length you want
- If anything has been left out
- Estimate the total duration by estimating the duration of each sequence in turn and adding them up.
- For safety plan about 25% more material than you think you will have time for.
- Work out the shooting days needed.
- Define the story by summing it up in about 20 simple words.
- Is it entertaining and informative?
- How relevant is it to the average viewer
- Why should anyone watch it?
- Why are you doing this story now and not at some other time?
